I have two concerns about this new statute.

First, KCC has more pressing issues to tackle in relation to its highways. We still have a big problem of pot holes following the harsh Winter. Many of these holes have not been repaired, and many holes have ‘re-appeared’ after being repaired.

Second, the Con-Dem Coalition has previously announced its intention to abolish the British Film Council, under the mantra of the current austerity measures. Such a decision will not serve the interest of our fledging film industry.

Perhaps the statute has been enacted, inter alia, to restrain the local media from publicising the problem of the aforementioned pot holes?
